Bioanalytical Scientist

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Scientist to join our Assay Development team within Bioanalytical Sciences at CSL Melbourne for a 12 month fixed-term position.
You will work with a team of scientists developing novel protein-based therapeutics.
You will provide scientific and technical expertise to help deliver project goals, engage with stakeholders and contribute to innovations in analytical development.
Your Responsibilities: Develop analytical assays to support the characterisation of protein interactions ( eg ELISAs, enzymatic assays, biolayer interferometry).
Complete analytical development activities (including experimental design, screening, optimisation, robustness testing, etc.
).
Perform protein characterisation activities such as ELISAs, enzymatic assays, luciferase-based assays, biolayer interferometry, SDS-PAGE.
Perform detailed analyses of experiments plus record-keeping and report-writing activities.
Provide scientific and technical guidance to stakeholders in Bioprocess Development.
Qualifications and Experience: Degree in a relevant discipline; post-graduate degree preferred 3+ years of experience in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field.
Expertise in protein chemistry (hands-on knowledge of ELISAs, enzyme kinetics, chemical equilibria and/or measurement of protein-binding affinities will be especially well-regarded).
Expertise in developing and performing analytical assays.
