You can learn more about Bindi Enterprises here: www.bindienterprises.org.au Let us tell you a little bit about the role This is not your standard Senior Support Worker Role… This role not only encompasses support work for people with a disability, but also facilitates our corporate contracts.
The position involves liaising with external stakeholders, seeking new contractual work arrangements, marketing of the organisation, along with growing our partnership base.
This role will truly suit someone with strong business acumen and a passion for disability support.
Hours of work are 8.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Thursday (3 days) This is a SCHADS level 3 award role.
Other duties and responsibilities: Provide supervision, support and direction to staff and supported employees Ensure that a quality service is provided to the people we support Manage day-to-day contracted work of the service Develop Individual Plans for the people we support which reflect outcomes as per Contractual and Organisational requirements Develop team work that enhances the people we support's quality of life Market and promote the Bindi Enterprises services to the community Network and form partnerships with other community organisations Ensure that Bindi Enterprises complies with contractual requirements Liaise with the NDIS, OPG, OOD and other departments as required Supervise financial procedures relevant to the Bindi Contracts Department Ensure that the rights, interests and needs of the people we support are addressed effectively Understand and respect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the people we support Comply with all Lifestyle Solutions Policies and Procedures Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures Contribute positively to the work of Lifestyle Solutions (Aust) Ltd Essential Knowledge and Skills: Experience working with people with a disability and/or challenging behaviours and high needs.
Demonstrated experience/knowledge in small business management or administration Demonstrated ability and commitment to developing a positive team culture through leadership, support and supervision Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality work programs for people living with profound and multiple disabilities Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Current unrestricted driver's license Current senior first aid and CPR certificate Up to date Covid Vaccinations Current Working with Children and NDIS screening Check Desirable Knowledge and Skills: Tertiary qualifications Social Sciences, Community Services and/or equivalent experience in service delivery in the disability field (eg: Certificate IV in Disability work) Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in business administration Join Us - Next steps All applications must be lodged online by 5pm 29th November 2024.
