Your opportunity: As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our Victorian environmental operations, ensuring compliance and providing training and development to our site-based teams. You will collaborate closely with our site teams to promote a culture of environmental responsibility, offering guidance and training to ensure compliance with local, state, and national environmental regulations across a number of Divisions and Projects.
This position reports directly to the Environment and Sustainability Manager and is primarily based onsite, with Head Office based at our Campbellfield office in Melbourne.
You will bring along the following: Hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering or a related discipline. Over six years of hands-on experience in the civil construction industry. Utilise your sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent task prioritisation skills to excel in high-pressure environments. Experience in the use of various environmental monitoring equipment and advanced technical skills. Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities, essential for success in a collaborative setting. Proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, 3D Safety, and/or PowerBi. Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks, being organised and maintaining focus to maximise productivity. A valid Driver's Licence is essential, as this role requires regular travel to various project sites throughout Victoria. The role will be responsible for: Collaborate with HSE and project teams to ensure environmental compliance and foster a proactive culture. Train and mentor project teams on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements. Manage environmental monitoring programs and prepare detailed reports for regulatory bodies. Participation at Monthly Divisional meetings. Develop and implement response strategies for environmental incidents.
