Bike Builder

Details of the offer

Our purpose is to enrich mind, body, earth, or soul with the freedom of riding.
Why join the 99 Bikes team?
99 Bikes is Australia's largest bicycle retailer. We have 60+ locations across Australia and over 800 people in our awesome team. Being a part of a rapidly growing and successful business offers unique role diversity, opportunities for progression, and making a big difference.
We are a purpose-driven company. We partner with our 'Earning To Give' charities and lead numerous environmental focuses. Amazing team environment with reward & recognition and autonomy & ownership in all roles. Career progression and opportunities. We promote from within 99% of the time. Fully funded nationally recognised qualifications and structured training pathways to nurture people's development. Flexible roster to ensure work/life balance. $1000 Self Development allowance each year to boost our mental, physical, or financial health. Don't need to know everything about bikes!
Our Builders are trained by our skilful Mechanics and resource guides. You'll be building bikes, performing minor repairs, and constantly learning, all whilst working in our professionally equipped workshops. We value team players with a great attitude, a thirst for learning, who are driven to do well. Being an experienced Bicycle Builder is obviously a nice to have; however, if you are mechanically minded and enjoy working with your hands, you'll be great in our team.
There is an opportunity to progress into a permanent Full or Part-Time Mechanics Role.
We believe in the strength of diversity.
Our customer base is diverse. We are the 'World's Most Approachable Bike Shops' and understand the value of including varying perspectives and strengths across our teams. We are committed to hiring and promoting the right recruits and creating a culture that is safe and enjoyable for all walks of life regardless of age, culture, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or background.
TESTIMONIAL "Growing up with an interest in riding and fixing bikes in 2010 I was fortunate to get an opportunity as a bike builder with 99 Bikes and have not looked back! Progressing into a mechanic role where I enjoyed the problem-solving and challenges of fixing bikes. Now I am an Area Leader and really enjoy the new and different challenges I experience in the role"
