Reporting directly to our Bids & Proposals Manager, you will become a valued member of the national team, contributing to our national growth strategy.

In this role you will work closely with the national Business Development & Marketing team members and various stakeholders, located throughout Australia. Your role will be varied and will continue to be that way as you progress your career with us. You will be challenged and busy, but we will ensure you have work life balance. The Business Development & Marketing team offers flexibility with remote working for the right candidate.
In this national role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing high-quality proposals in collaboration with the Bids & Proposals Manager.Advising partners and fee earners on best practices in bid writing and presentation.Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation.Conducting research, analysis, and planning for each bid.Monitoring and evaluating the performance and outcomes of each bid.Arranging client feedback sessions or written surveys to debrief on submissions.Maintenance of the Content Library and adding to the firm's Credentials Database.Maintaining the firm's Bids and Proposals Register.Contribution to the firm's legal directory submissions.The team The national Business Development & Marketing team is a small, dynamic and high-performing team, led by the Director of Business Development & Marketing from our Brisbane office. Working in different offices, the team meets virtually both formally and socially, creating a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Members of the team have been described as down to earth, professional, hard working and collegiate and the team is well-respected by the leaders of the firm.
About you The successful candidate will have:
Qualifications in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.At least 3 years of experience in bids and proposals, preferably in the legal sector or a professional services environment.Experience working in, or coordinating, a project team on large cross-practice team tenders.A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including document design, layout and formatting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message and tone to different audiences and situations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and data into clear and concise insights and recommendations.High attention to detail and quality, with the ability to proofread and edit documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.About Us A premier commercial law firm, Piper Alderman has offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
