An opportunity exists for a full-time Purchasing Officer at our food service branch located in Tamworth.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing within the branch, including maintaining inventory levels, achieving KPI's, and managing stock levels in addition to working with all departments within the Branch.
Duties:
Maintain inventory levels to service the needs of our customers Achieve KPI's for inventory and warehouse efficiencies Negotiate with suppliers for positive and ongoing stock deals Manage stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining high stock turns Liaise with all departments in a professional timely manner Perform some general administration Skills and Experience:
Previous purchasing experience NSW Police Clearance Certificate Ability to negotiate and strong problem-solving skills Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment medical Also, proven and demonstrated experience in managing a small purchasing team would be viewed favourably.
