About the Opportunity
This role will manage the bid submission process from initiation to delivery to the customer, ensuring compliance with governance, regulations and deadlines including qualifying opportunities; supporting win strategy development; generating high quality persuasive business winning pitches, comprehensive bid documents and proposals aligned to ASC's strategic goals.
In addition, the Bid Manager will manage submission debriefs, lessons learnt and gather critical feedback for continuous improvement ensuring compliance with governance and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop, deliver and maintain the bidding framework to support ASC's requirements in a timely manner.
Undertake deliverables analysis and provide advice to key stakeholders on how to refine the quote, bid or Contract Change Proposal.
Lead bids and meet assigned schedules and key milestones.
Develop and maintain SSN AUKUS bid management lessons learned database.
Effectively manage a team through clear communication, setting of precise and consistent guardrails, managing outcomes, and building culture
Management, mentoring and development of ASC's personnel in preparation of Bids for new scope or change in scope
Accountable for ensuring that ASC's bidding policies and procedures are consistent and aligned across ASC Pty Ltd.
Accountable for ensuring collaboration with shipbuilder partner for bid compliance and submission.
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for ASC, its programs and Customer.
About You
Essential: At least 5 years bid coordination or management experience and sound knowledge of estimating, planning, scheduling, work breakdown structures and/or EVMS concepts.
Desired:
Tertiary qualifications, such as Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Accounting or Project Management.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop comprehensive submissions aligned to ASC's strategic goals.
Leads innovation in bid submission.
Able to direct and manage senior personnel (internal and external) effectively.
Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills with proven ability to manage tight deadlines
Commercial acumen.
Experience in major Defence contracts in either an estimating and/or commercial capacity.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
