You will be responsible for creating actionable insights for internal and external clients by sourcing, transforming, and presenting data in Power BI, MSSQL, and Databricks.Your new role as a BI Developer @ NextGenDevelop Insightful BI Solutions: Identify and craft business intelligence insights that address the needs of both internal stakeholders and external clients, driving informed decision-making across the board.Implement BI Enhancements: Lead the integration of new or refined BI solutions, ensuring that insights align with evolving business objectives and provide measurable impact.Design Data Presentation: Format and prototype queries, visualisations, and dashboards with precision, delivering clear and effective presentations of data that meet business standards.Provide Agile Data Support: Generate ad-hoc queries and reports that allow the business to respond promptly to emerging data requirements.Expand Our Data Lake: Source and incorporate foundational data ("Bronze data") into our data lake, strengthening the base for robust analytics and reporting.Enrich Data Quality: Enhance data reliability and validation processes ("Silver data") to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency.Deliver Refined Analytics: Generate and implement refined, aggregated analytics ("Gold data") that empower strategic insights and deliver actionable intelligence across the organisation.Who are you?Mandatory:Development Experience: You have hands-on experience in a developer role, with the ability to bring technical expertise to our BI and analytics team.Eligibility to Work in Australia: Full, unrestricted work rights are required.Desirable:Power BI Savvy: Experience with Business Intelligence & Analytics using Power BI is a plus—you know how to bring data to life.SQL Mastery: Skilled in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Analysis Services (or similar tools), with a knack for building scalable data solutions.Team Data Projects: You thrive in collaborative environments and have experience developing or enhancing data products as part of a team.Data Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiar with data lake, lakehouse, or data warehouse technologies like Databricks, BigQuery, or Hadoop?
