About the Role The role is based at Goonyella Riverside Mine and offers an opportunity to join our high performing Maintenance Team. In this role you will be responsible for:
Providing direct leadership to the Field Ropes Maintenance Team Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment Oversee compliance with legislation, safety systems, maintenance standards and procedures Delivery of the weekly asset management plan through which Maintenance and Production targets are achieved Management of outages on Draglines and Rope Shovels Site representative for Dragline and Ropes Shovel Major Shutdowns delivered by Major Shutdown Group Managing and delivering the Field Ropes Maintenance budget Managing contractor compliance Building capability within the team through development of Supervisors and Employees Communication and engagement with all relevant stakeholders Providing visible leadership, advice and support to site teams Driving a continuous improvement mindset and delivering improvement initiatives Role modelling the BHP Operating System (BOS) principles Your previous success in leading a large team and building a positive workplace culture will be paramount in setting you up for success.
About You Motivated, engaged and supportive people leader Visible safety leader who develops and coaches your team Proven frontline leadership experience leading teams to deliver high performance outcomes safely in a Maintenance or Mining background. Experience working at a Superintendent level with draglines and rope shovels will be highly regarded. Strong engagement, influencing and collaboration skills in order to achieve the high-level outcomes with your team.
