About the Role In this role you will work closely with other Exploration teams around the globe, providing technical expertise in the management and governance of a portfolio of Exploration investments that enable value creation. Together you will support Exploration's ambition to be a world-class growth engine and the leading global discovery team that consistently generates an economic return while delivering transformational growth for BHP. Reporting to Manager Exploration Portfolio, your accountabilities include: Owning and maintaining Portfolio infrastructure and customer communications, including SharePoint site, guidance documents/tools, and communications. Coordinating Exploration Investment and Performance Review routines through stakeholder communication, preparation of facilitation and pre-read materials, and recording of meeting minutes, actions, and decisions. Facilitating investment decision framing to drive collaboration among key stakeholders, identify key value drivers, and align investment proposals with exploration portfolio strategy. Supporting Portfolio Planning and Prioritization routines through preparation of facilitation and pre-read materials, including developing and communicating insights that support data-driven decision making. Supporting maintenance (especially data quality) of Portfolio Management Tool, including working with Specialist Data and Reporting to optimize configuration for high-quality customer experience. About You As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
Degree qualification with relevant post-qualification experience in portfolio management and/or project management. While not mandatory, qualifications in Geoscience or Business Finance are highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in data analysis & interpretation, with an emphasis on clear communication of analytical approaches, results, and articulation of relevant insights as key inputs to decision making. Relevant experience in applying data visualization techniques to convey difficult concepts and illustrate dependencies to effectively communicate insights and drive data-driven action/decision making. Strong understanding of the key value drivers for resource exploration. Grounded in business context and strategic objectives but capable and willing to dive into details when required. Outcome-focused and continuous improvement mindset when applying process/management systems. Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and experience/proficiency in Power BI. Capability and willingness to master new applications, particularly Portfolio Management tool. While not mandatory, experience in resource exploration at a reputable firm is highly regarded. Location There is flexibility for this role to be based in Perth, Brisbane, or Adelaide. You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered.
