About the Role
Step into a pivotal role as the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager at Midland Brick, where you'll drive efficiency and excellence in every aspect of our distribution process. You will oversee the movement of our premium products from production to delivery, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction. From managing supply chain operations to coordinating a fleet of trucks, you'll optimize processes, lead a skilled team, and foster collaboration across departments. Your role will include: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals. Oversee logistics for brick and masonry transport, managing subcontractors and owner drivers. Plan and manage clay and masonry product distribution for timely, safe customer delivery. Lead dispatch and fleet scheduling to optimize cost-efficiency. Oversee distribution network with internal and external logistics providers. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and regulatory standards. Analyze transport data to identify and implement improvements. Collaborate with senior management to align logistics with company goals. Resolve transportation disputes and issues with stakeholders. Prepare and manage the transport budget, tracking costs and seeking savings. Lead negotiations and manage relationships with logistics providers. Develop and coach a high-performing logistics team for succession planning. Skills and Experience: Proven experience in logistics management and transport operations. Tertiary qualification in logistics and supply chain management or related field preferred. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of drivers and scheduling teams. Excellent knowledge of transport regulations, including compliance with Main Roads WA and Chain of Responsibility requirements. Ability to analyze metrics and implement data-driven improvements. Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and logistics partners. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive financial performance. Commitment to safety protocols and continuous improvement.
