When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it affects the whole family.
In the daunting and unpredictable experience that follows diagnosis, a child needs as much stability and support from their family as possible.
Redkite is a lifeline for families, providing real emotional, financial and practical support.
The role: The Bequest Manager plays an essential role in Redkite's future support of families facing childhood cancer.
They are responsible for: Building a long-term bequest income pipeline.
Driving sustainable revenue from living wills in the short term.
Driving income via gifts in wills in the medium/long term.
Growing Redkite's bequest program to increase income exponentially, with emphasis on residual bequests.
Managing relationships effectively with confirmed and prospective donors.
Managing interactions with succession planning experts (solicitors, estate executors) and donors' families to ensure Redkite receives all bequest income entitlements.
About you: The position is ideal for an experienced bequest manager looking to make a meaningful difference.
The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills & experience: At least 3-5 years' experience in a relationship management role, preferably with bequest relationship management experience.
Success working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
The ability to manage multiple projects with shifting and short deadlines.
Utilisation of fundraising databases to analyse data, track donor communications, and support day-to-day activities.
Advanced application of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Superior proposal writing and presentation skills.
The ability to articulate Redkite's vision, mission and tangible family support work through effective story telling.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm and professional approach, particularly during telephone interactions with donors.
An accountable, proactive and results-driven attitude.
The ability to work autonomously.
