Centre Director - Benowa Hills Early Learning Centre We're looking for a professional and experienced Centre Director who has the skills and passion to lead our Benowa Hills Early Learning team. We are searching for a Director who can guide our team in shaping the future of young minds in a high-quality, safe, secure child-led environment - one that fosters meaningful relationships with our families and community stakeholders.
We know this pivotal role of a Centre Director has evolved over time, just like our community, technology platforms, policies & procedures, and the needs of children. We have a supportive owner and strong management team to mentor you through this journey, alongside an efficient Administrator and a Leadership Team of senior Educators.
We're looking for a Director that is a natural at engaging with children, families, and team members. We believe in play-based learning and value creating warm and nurturing environments to develop social and emotional skills for the children.
If you are an experienced Director (with an ECT qualification or Diploma of Early Childhood, Bachelor or Post Grad or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education that is recognised by ACECQA) and you're looking for a full-time role, you may be the right fit for this role, especially if you possess the following attributes:
Leadership & Management: Proven leadership experience and the ability to differentiate between leading and managing. Ability to run the day-to-day operations of an Early Childhood Centre with a keen eye for future planning. Special event planning, rostering, and budget management. A flair for mentoring and inspiring staff. Fluid and flexible nature to adapt to varying daily experiences. Educational Excellence: Overseeing the Programming & Planning Cycles and Developmental Goals across the centre. Collaborating with Educators to achieve the best outcomes for children's development. Thorough knowledge of the QLD Kindergarten Early Learning Guidelines. Parent & Community Engagement: Strong communication skills with family groups. Comfortable communicating with children, leaders, local schools, and community stakeholders. Ability to handle conflict resolution with families professionally and empathetically. Compliance, Licensing Professional Knowledge & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Monitor and action tasks related to compliance in health & hygiene, incident prevention, and child protection. Conduct regular feedback and surveys with families and staff. Health & Safety: Implement and maintain health & safety policies & procedures. Hold regular safety drills and checks. Liaise with maintenance to ensure safety and compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in early childhood or equivalent, recognised by ACECQA. Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards (NQF and NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Current First Aid and CPR certification. Hold a paid Blue Card.
