The Opportunity Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled Plant Mechanics to join the Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Team is a multi-discipline team that is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment.
Working closely with the broader Maintenance team, the Plant Mechanic plays a pivotal role in maintaining equipment through fault finding and maintenance in both workshop and field environments.
Using your knowledge and skills, you are enabled to take ownership, prioritise and plan tasks safely, efficiently and cost effectively as well as identify and action improvement opportunities that you see fit.
Working a Lifestyle roster – 12.5 hour shifts you will be responsible for:
Inspecting, fault finding and defect elimination of Bengalla's heavy mining equipment fleets to satisfy appropriate governing standardsDiagnosing, repairing and performing routine servicing of equipment and plantEnsuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliabilityProviding assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategiesComplying with Bengalla's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all timesQualifications and Experience The successful candidate will have:
Mechanical Trade Qualification (Plant Mechanic)Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is essential (Hitachi, Cat and Komatsu)A strong service background with proven experienceSound computer skillsExcellent work quality and attention to detailAbility to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.What We Offer Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
