This specialist team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and advice to Retail Banking staff, ensuring the insurance needs of Bendigo customers are met with care and expertise.
The team will provide frontline support to Bendigo Bank customers by responding to inbound insurance enquiries and conducting outbound calls and emails to support campaigns and drive growth.
By building strong relationships within the insurance team, the wider Bendigo Bank organisation, and our trusted insurance partner IAG/CGU, the Branch Support team ensures the delivery of accurate insurance advice.
Key responsibilities: You will deliver timely and up-to-date information on all insurance products, meeting both our internal and external customer's needs. With the goal to promote sales outcomes while prioritising and ensuring a positive customer experience. You will generate manual quotes, assess and apply discretionary discounts, and handle the underwriting of new policies and amendments to existing ones. You will foster collaboration and put the customer first across people, process, sales, credit, stakeholder management and compliance. This is a Full time 12-month fixed term contract (or potential secondment for internal employees) where Bendigo or Melbourne is the preferred location. We prioritise our people with a hybrid model that currently includes a minimum of 40% per week in a Head Office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025. Working hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
To succeed in this role, we'd love you to have: Experience delivering insurance or banking products to either face-to-face or phone based/digital customers. A positive mindset, as well as a proactive approach to learning and a flexible attitude toward change, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate information.
