Our Opportunity Work Location: This role will be based across Fortescue's Western Hub (Solomon & Eliwana).
Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 8D6R (floating) FIFO ex Perth, Karratha or Busselton.
This opportunity is available on a floating roster which means the roster will vary and adjust to support all shut downs.

Reporting to the Supervisor the Experienced Belt Technicians will be responsible for shutdown preparation and execution as well as maintaining, repairing, and improving conveyor systems and equipment enabling Fixed Plant Operations to meet present and future operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities Display the core value of safety first and leading by example Shutdown preparation and execution whilst responding to breakdowns as required Carry out steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs Hazard identification and rectification All aspects of conveyor system maintenance Qualifications and Experience Level 3 Belt Splicing Qualification or equivalent with 5+ years experience  Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems, (SAP, PDS) Significant experience in a fixed plant continuous processing plant Proven commitment to safety Good verbal, written and computer skills Our Commitment Fortescue is deeply committed to providing a safe culture that builds respect, fosters inclusiveness, and values diversity.
