Our team is currently seeking experienced Belt Splicers, Rubber Liners, and Conveyor Technicians in West Kalgoorlie, WA, and Mechanical Engineers in NSW to work with both mechanical and splicing crews.
Position Descriptions Belt Splicers, Rubber Liners, Conveyor Technicians These roles will be responsible for:
Safe and timely completion of service-based activities, including conveyor inspections, repairs, and overhauls. Service/installation of conveyor belt cleaning components, roller and skirt change-outs. Ceramic rubber lining, including ceramic tiles and application of trowelable ceramic products. The roles operate within a 24/7 breakdown industry with frequent travel to our customers' sites, including weekend and night shifts as required.
To be considered for one of these roles, you will: Possess a strong commitment to WH&S in the workplace. Have a minimum of 4 years' previous experience in belt splicing and/or working with conveyors, conveyor equipment, and services in mining/ports/grain terminals. Hold a C class driver's licence. Have experience handling chemicals. Have a willingness to learn and follow instruction. Be a team player. Have the ability to get to work on time and demonstrate reliability. Have a willingness to participate in a pre-placement medical (including ongoing drug & alcohol testing). Hold a Forklift licence (preferred but not essential). Have rubber lining experience (preferred but not essential). Hold a Working at Heights ticket (preferred but not essential). Hold a Confined Space ticket (preferred but not essential). Possess an HR Driver's Licence (preferred but not essential). These are full-time positions working 38 standard hours per week (averaged over a 26 week period) + overtime.
The remuneration for these positions will be between $82,000 - $95,000 Base + Superannuation + Weekly Regional Allowance + Overtime.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities will include:
Providing engineering design and drafting support to meet manufacturing and product development deadlines. Providing engineering analysis, design, and drafting support for product development activities. Liaising with store and purchasing personnel to provide current drawings for orders and new drawings and part numbers for the creation of material numbers. Developing, maintaining, and managing Material masters, BOM, Routings, and associated processes in SAP. Providing costing and quoting information as required for in-house manufactured goods. Providing engineering and design support in the development and implementation of quality assurance systems & practices (e.g., IPTs). Conducting engineering design, analysis, and drafting for product lifecycle and failure analysis. Assisting in the specification and development of manufacturing plant equipment. Providing regular updates on the projects undertaken. Providing accurate information on work scopes. Ensuring all design and engineering work is compliant with Australian Codes, Regulations, Standards, and Legislation. To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years relevant work experience.
A remuneration package between $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
