Job Description: The Director of People & Learning is a strategic leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of contemporary HR strategies, driving organisational growth and excellence in Carpentaria Disability Services.
This key position reports directly to the CEO and is an integral member of Carpentaria's leadership team, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and NDIS standards.
About the Role: Develop and implement modern HR practices across the employee lifecycle, positioning Carpentaria as an employer of choice by fostering effective relationships with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational goals. Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing through workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and professional development strategies. Oversee Enterprise Agreement management, provide advice, and review, improve, and implement Carpentaria's learning and development framework to maintain a highly skilled workforce meeting legislative and NDIS standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement modern HR practices throughout the employee lifecycle. Develop and foster effective relationships with stakeholders. Oversee Enterprise Agreement management and provide advice. Design and implement programs for employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing. Drive workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and professional development strategies. Review, improve, and implement the learning and development framework. About You: You will have extensive experience delivering and managing HR services at a senior level in a complex environment. You possess proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of up to 5 staff. You hold comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation, workforce issues, and legislative frameworks within the disability sector. You have strong written communication skills and experience developing workforce strategies, policies, and procedures. You are proactive with highly developed problem-solving and project management skills. A degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent significant experience is highly desirable.
