Job Description: The Clinical Business Operations (CBO) division is part of BeiGene's Global Clinical Operations. CBO encompasses the Investigator Contract Team, the Investigator Payment Team, and the Budget Team. The Operation Director of CBO will be accountable for:
Strategic planning and execution of CBO deliverables within CBO Lead CBO resource planning and regular resource review CBO budget planning and monthly review Coordinate closely with the CBO Leadership Team to establish and regularly update CBO algorithms Lead CBO goal setting and metrics review on an ongoing basis Ensure CBO processes, systems and standards are updated and shared consistently across the team Plan, execute and arrange actions following up for CBO department meetings Plan, execute and arrange actions following up for CBO Leadership team meetings Plan, execute and arrange actions following up for CBO Business Review Meetings Identify areas for improvement and explore opportunities to implement technology solutions within CBO Work closely with CBO Leadership team to take leadership on new initiatives. Essential Functions of the job: Contribute to CBO strategy development and take a lead role in implementation of new strategies Ensure timely planning and delivery of tasks Control and closely monitor CBO budget Drive team members to improve their efficiency and effectiveness and prioritize work Measure CBO performance against key goals metrics Ensure CBO team thinking and activities are aligned with overall business direction and priorities Communicate with internal and external staff effectively with a professional, transparent and collaborative approach. Champion a global mindset and approach and foster increased collaboration across CBO team Proactively identify potential issues and escalate issues to CBO Management team timely. Take initiative for issue resolution within and outside CBO. Ensure that multiple, novel ideas are generated, considered and implemented. Supervisory Responsibilities: Line Management of direct reports, if required Qualification Required: Education Required: Bachelor's degree from finance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or a related field in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills – experience using various computer applications
Other Qualifications: More than 15 years of experience in clinical trial investigator contract, or Investigator Payment, or clinical operations, or other similar areas in the biotech/pharmaceutical/CRO industry or the relevant clinical research field Solid people management and project management experience are preferred Agile, strategic thinking and ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions to business function Strong self-learning ability and able to acquire knowledge and skills rapidly and apply new insights to improve performance and decision-making process. Possesses a forward-thinking and adaptable attitude, embracing change as an opportunity Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Fluent in written and verbal English Flexible, attention to details with strong can-do attitude Travel: Domestic and/or international travel required
