Developing, implementing, and monitoring behaviour support plans with contemporary evidence-based, proactive strategies that meet the specific needs of each person accessing services Work in consultation with the participants and their support team Ensuring all stakeholders are appropriately trained to understand Behaviour Support and implement identified behaviour support strategies Focus on person-centred interventions that address the underlying functions of behaviour, while safeguarding the rights and dignity of the person with a disability and minimising the use of restrictive practices Plan and deliver behaviour support approaches that comply with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework Is this the right role for you?
Tertiary qualifications in relevant Psychology/Occupational Therapy/Social Work/Diploma Community Services Currently assessed as suitable by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner or above Experience providing services to people with a disability with complex behavioural needs, including conducting functional behaviour assessments, development of comprehensive behaviour support plans and implementation processes Commitment to improving the quality of life of people with disability and demonstrated passion to reduce restrictive intervention Current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid, CPR certificate and current NT Driver License NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
