About the RoleAs the Behaviour Support Team Lead, you will:
Contribute to the development of PBS training resources, support plan templates and underpinning policy documents related to PBS in collaboration with the Allied Health manager, SA and Head of Allied Health.Provide support to teams in reviewing and developing PBS plans, support plans and risk assessments.Conduct assessments to identify causes of challenging behaviours and develop strategies to enhance participants' quality of life.Design and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) that are compliant with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.Provide coaching, modelling, and support to families, caregivers, and key stakeholders in the implementation of support strategies.Maintain and manage an individual caseload.Conduct quality checks of all PBSPs to ensure adherence to the Positive Behaviour Support Framework and all NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.Collaborate with the Quality team to establish and maintain policies and procedures that ensure compliance and consistency in service delivery.About YouWe are looking for a passionate and innovative professional committed to supporting and mentoring other clinicians with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality client care using positive behaviour support practices. You excel in planning, implementing, and evaluating behaviour support plans. Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or another relevant allied health area.A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support.Previous Team Lead or Senior experience.Eligibility to work as a NDIS Commission-approved Advanced or Specialist Practitioner.Experience working with clients with varying complexities using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.Well-developed knowledge of person-centred approaches.Detailed knowledge and application of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework.Experience and knowledge of challenging behaviour and intellectual disability.Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders.Must hold a letter by the NDIS commission advising Advanced or Specialist level.Only applicants with the right to work in Australia will be considered.
