About the Role
A leading NDIS provider is seeking an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner or Psychologist to join their team.
This crucial role focuses on delivering high-quality behaviour support and psychological services to NDIS participants, supporting their inclusion and participation in the community, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and evaluate psychological services and behaviour support plans to NDIS participants to help them achieve their NDIS goals. Support the inclusion and participation of NDIS participants in the community. Provide services and supports in collaboration with key stakeholders. Ensure services and supports are delivered within the parameters of the participant's available NDIS funding. Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay current with industry developments. Fulfil administrative requirements such as data collection and note taking. Supervise and train assistants, volunteers, and students when assigned, ensuring professional, clinical, ethical, and safety standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with the organisation's duty of care (code of practice). Ensure services meet quality service standards and NDIS guidelines. About you
The ideal candidate will be a committed professional with a strong background in behaviour support or psychology and experience working with NDIS participants.
They will be passionate about delivering person-centred services and have the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria General registration as a psychologist or provisional psychologist with AHPRA, or relevant qualifications for a Behaviour Support Practitioner. Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and design, implement, and evaluate behaviour support plans. Extensive knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability framework and thorough understanding of restrictive practice regulations. Understanding of the common impact of disability on families of people with a disability. Awareness of the principles of positive behavioural intervention, including strategies embedded in strengths-based and least restrictive practices. Skills in administering a range of psychological assessment tools for evaluating cognitive abilities, psychopathology, personality, and other relevant psychological constructs. A range of intervention strategies to address needs related to activities of daily living, social integration, sensory processing and integration, and mental health management. Behavioural Competencies Commitment to a person-centred approach. Excellent skills in collaboration and demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to the inclusion and participation of people with a disability within their local and natural communities. Ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to ongoing development of skills and capabilities. Commitment to using evidence as a basis for practice. Licenses and Accreditations NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Working with Children's check. Current driver's license. Current AHPRA registration (for psychologists).
