Ability Action Australia is continuing to grow in the ACT! Our multidisciplinary team would welcome another experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with current Proficient or Advanced level suitability - already confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - who is driven to make a positive impact on the lives of NDIS participants living in the ACT and nearby regional locations in NSW.

On a daily basis you will be:
Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
About you
Current suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at the Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
