Job Summary:As Craft Supervisor - Mechanical, you will lead a team and supervise craft professionals on Pluto Train 2 Project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and co-ordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.Major Responsibilities:Leadership / SupervisionSupervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.Planning / ProductivityDetermines workforce requirements.Coordinates established area operational plans.Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.Safety & QualityEnsures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.Ensures assigned construction operations performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.TechnicalWorks with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.Oversees engineering solutions with Leading Hands and Craft Professionals.Education and Experience Requirements:10+ years relevant field experience.Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Required Knowledge and Skills:Sound knowledge and experience in the installation and alignment of both rotating and static equipment.Knowledge of EPCM contract Management, and the Contractor(s) and their subcontractor's (if applicable) responsibilities. Knowledge of construction technologies. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities. Familiarity with current industry quality standards.Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.Additional Information:This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.This position is available to both local and non-local personnel.
