Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.
Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary:
The Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Tagging Authority (TA) will report to the Lead LOTO Tagging Authority and is responsible for receiving and acting on requests to perform work on components or systems that are energized or have the potential to be energized. The TA will be responsible for energy isolation management in accordance with corporate and project specific procedures.
This position will primarily work dayshift but must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required, including, but not limited to nightshift, split shift, or day shift as needed by the project.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the integrated LOTO program on the Project coordinating between subcontractors and all other affected entities to deliver a safe and uniform program for the control of work and isolation of hazardous sources of energy. Ensure the energy isolation program complies with SWPP's, STCP's, and Q4Safety. Use Q4Safety for electronic Energy Isolation Permits (EIP's). Provide input and support to the Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams in piping, mechanical, and electrical isolations. Identify isolation boundaries based on work scope and develop and issue EIP's. Administer and manage the energy isolation program with strict enforcement and record keeping. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements:
10 years of previous Energy Isolation and Permitting Office experience, 5 of which have been in Commissioning, Maintenance and/or Operations. Required Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to read and understand/interpret electrical schematic, SLDs, wiring, instrument loops & mechanical PFD drawings. Construction experience assigned to a construction site. Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction. Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively & positively in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in high pressure situations. Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet and database applications. Experience on an LNG construction site preferred. Advanced knowledge of Project Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Navisworks, and other automation tools which are used on Bechtel projects preferred. Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
