About the Position:
Beardwood Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager in Northern Tasmania (or North-West by negotiation) to oversee and manage the successful delivery of multiple projects from initiation to completion. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring effective allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials. Coordinate and liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Oversee on-site project activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with the company work health and safety system, quality standards, and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to track project performance and resolve any issues or delays promptly. Monitor and report on project progress, including financial performance, and provide regular updates to senior management and clients. Manage procurement processes and ensure that contracts are aligned with project needs and company goals. Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise with clients, subcontractors, or internal teams to maintain positive working relationships. Identify risks and potential project obstacles and develop proactive solutions to mitigate them. Foster a collaborative team environment and aid in driving a positive company culture. Key Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar. Minimum 5 years of experience in managing construction projects, ideally in a Project Manager role within the commercial, industrial, or residential construction sectors. Strong knowledge of project management software and construction processes. Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams and building effective working relationships. Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on delivering quality results. A strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the construction industry. Willingness to travel as required to different project sites. What We Offer:
