We are currently looking for a Research & Development (R&D) Consultant to join our growing Adelaide team of dedicated professionals who are committed to the growth of Australian businesses through innovation.
The R&D team work with companies in agribusiness, manufacturing, software, and life science industries and more to maximise their government R&D funding through consultation and business process planning.
Working as an R&D Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of supporting ground-breaking research for clients from various industries. You'll collaborate with engineers, scientists and developers, travelling to client sites to better understand their research and development needs, constantly learning and thinking of new ways of doing things, providing you with an excellent platform to build upon your technical abilities and strengthen your consulting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities: Work directly with clients to understand their R&D requirements Assist with the preparation of the R&D tax claims and Government grant applications for a range of clients from start-ups to multi-nationals across key industries Review laws to identify and scope eligible R&D activities and expenditure for an organisation Advise clients around government grants and tax incentives Draft project technical and expenditure workpapers in line with our quality processes Assist with preparing or reviewing documentation of R&D activity in accordance with guidelines Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification preferably in Accounting or related degrees (i.e. STEM, Commerce, or Law) Experience in a related R&D (Public Practice, Government, or Commercial) and/or Accounting / Tax position with an interest in R&D Ability to prioritise multiple projects and collaborate with the team to deliver results Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities with an interest in innovation and a growth mindset Why BDO?
