About the role: This is a full-time opportunity in Melbourne, reporting to the National Sales Manager – Labels and VIP (Thermal Printing, Scanning and Mobile Computing). As the BDM / Account Manager, you will drive new business opportunities (30% new business and 70% existing valued clients with potential for growth). This will involve many aspects of business development, such as:
End-user and corporate sales Build business within existing accounts. Hunt for new customers Walk production/operation lines, identifying opportunities. Willingness to learn & develop product knowledge. Facilitate & communicate between departments for smooth transition of orders/practices. Contribution to marketing and business strategy This role promises challenge and variety every day, with the opportunity to work with like-minded business professionals.
Industries insignia partners with: transport & logistics, 3PL, food & beverage, industrial, retail, and pharmaceutical to name a few.
The position's remuneration will be commensurate with your experience and include a base salary, on-target and stretch commission, and car allowance (all working tools included).
About you: We seek an individual who can or has:
Leads by example. Be willing to learn. Understand the importance of managing a healthy pipeline. Have fire in the belly to succeed! Recognise business opportunities and actively seek out new business and close sales. Take ownership of actions; enjoys dealing with people and providing excellent customer service. Willing to think outside the box to offer customers products and solutions which add value to their business. Establishes open and trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including customers and internal stakeholders. Has the ability to write and communicate concisely and persuasively. Want to be part of a successful team. Has experience and knowledge using a CRM platform (experience with Microsoft CRM desirable). Medium to high skills in MS Suite of products. Previous experience in business development or sales representative roles. 2+ years in a role involved in face-to-face customer meetings. Previous experience in a new business sales role (is an advantage but not a pre-requisite). Car Licence. Own a car. Knowledge of the labelling and VIP (Thermal Printing, Scanning and Mobile Computing) industry, major competitors, and insignia customers (is an advantage but not a prerequisite).
