The key aim of the Financial Counselling role is to deliver high quality provision of information, guidance, practical assistance and advocacy intended to redress financial issues resulting from gambling harm for individuals, couples and families across the North and North Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne.
Building relationships with external and internal service providers across Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Family Violence services are critical for a holistic service response based on client needs.
This role will include working at our West Heidelberg and Greensborough sites, as well as co-locations across the North and North Western Metropolitan region.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvision of information, guidance, practical support and advocacy to assist clients to address immediate financial issues and alleviate financial burden arising from gambling harm.Provision of comprehensive Financial Counselling assessments that include a case plan with goals towards meeting outcomes for clients.Maintaining accurate and timely client records, documentation and data entry using GH Connect.Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma of Financial Counselling.Equivalent undergraduate financial qualification with counselling training/experience.FCVic membership eligibility.About UsWe pride ourselves on our supportive attitude and our culture; built on our core values of Dignity, Quality and Passion.
