Job Purpose The Senior Channel Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering accurate, timely schedules for both linear and non-linear services.
This role ensures the operational effectiveness of our Branded Services, working closely with the Head of Channel Partnerships & Operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Schedule Management:
Entry of linear and non-linear schedules into the Broadcast Software, ensuring all content is correctly scheduled, and metadata entered.
Create daily presentation schedules, ensuring correct timing and promo placement.
Process & Technology:
Act as the process design and implementation lead for the team.
Distil technical requirements for both linear and non-linear broadcasting, including playout systems and metadata management.
Training & Mentoring:
Define and implement training processes for channel coordinators.
Be a role model of BBC values and behaviours, offering mentorship and guidance to the team.
Data Administration:
Enter programming metadata into the Broadcast Software accurately and on time.
Manage schedule delivery to Playout Provider (FOXTEL &/or Amagi) and ensure timely communication of schedule changes.
Promotional Assets Coordination:
Create paperwork for monthly promos, idents, and other promotional assets.
Review promo optimization output and ensure scheduled events meet editorial and compliance standards.
Communication and Collaboration:
Liaise with platform/s and affiliates to ensure carriage obligation fulfilment.
Provide programming listings to internal and external stakeholders within agreed deadlines.
Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Assist with customer feedback responses as required.
Operational Support:
Assist with the monthly ordering and regular tracking of closed captioning in line with quotas and targets.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure a positive viewing experience for subscribers.
Maintain composure and effectiveness during high-pressure situations.
Deputise for the Head of Channel Partnerships & Operations as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience Experience with industry-standard broadcast software and systems, ensuring seamless schedule management.
Leadership qualities &/ or an appetite to leadership skills.
High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
Exceptional organization, and time management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and be highly responsive to changes at short notice.
Ability to work autonomously while also being a cohesive team member.
Flexible 'can do' attitude.
Effective communicator with the ability to follow instructions and direction.
Understanding of Programming or On-Air Presentation concepts is desirable.
