Bayview Geographe Resort is part of the Bayview International Hotels & Resorts Group, offering 11 properties throughout Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand, with plans to expand significantly over the coming years.
Located just a short drive from the centre of Busselton, we are situated right on the beautiful Geographe Bay beach. Our property spans over 27 acres and our accommodation options include studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom villas.

Position summary: The Maintenance Manager plays an integral part in the day-to-day running of the Resort. You will be responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department (a team of 7) and dealing with all maintenance requirements of the resort. You will be required to develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete in-depth project planning and demonstrate strong people management. It is essential that you are an organised individual who is able to develop reports for all business needs with a focus on health and safety, cost savings and planned CAPEX improvements.
Responsibilities: Develop preventative maintenance and energy conservation programs. Maintain effectiveness of these preventative maintenance and energy management programs. Oversee the implementation of all property and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance. Assign and verify completion of all routine maintenance by scheduling staff to perform the preventative maintenance program and prioritize, plan and assign daily work duties to maintenance staff. Inspect work assignments of staff in the department to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and within specifications. Manage outside contractors. Ensure that building structures and all mechanical and electrical systems are in good and safe condition and inform the Regional Chief Engineer and General Manager on a regular basis of the overall condition of the building structures and related systems. Ensure that the maintenance team uses equipment safely and efficiently to avoid accidents. Manage all expenses within the allotted budget. Assist in employee training, performance evaluation, termination and promotion activities. Recommend cost-effective solutions to the Maintenance Manager to maintain building structures and related equipment and systems. Ensure the work area is maintained clean, safe and organised. Educate team on safety requirements, engineering policies and other company policies and standards. Order and stock maintenance supplies to avoid shortages. Qualifications: A Trade qualification (in mechanical, electrical or plumbing) as well as experience in property maintenance. Excellent time management, communication and people skills. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Experience with HotSOS is preferred but not essential. Hold a current driver's license. Physical demands: This is a hands-on role where the position involves physical work such as bending, carrying, climbing (under & above ground) and some heavy lifting.
