Playing a key role in key projects is just one of the many reasons why it's great to work at Raytheon Australia.The Battlespace System Administrator can look forward to the following essential elements in this exciting role:Provides the technical operations for BSC's complex IT server and communication solutions that comply with Raytheon and Defence technical standards and security policies.Manages system accounts, permissions and directory operations and ensure service delivery staff have the necessary up-to-date information for account administration activities.Provides the technical input into the development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Plans & Business Continuity Plans for server and communication infrastructure.Monitors system performance.Manages software installation, configuration and updates for operating systems, firmware, and software applications including security updates as directed by configuration management authority.Performs system and network configuration maintenance.Manages backup and recovery protocols.Installs and manages firewall and intrusion-detection monitoring systems.Manages backup system to safeguard critical data collection.Performs advanced troubleshooting and network problem resolution in coordination with maintainers.Coordinates with and provides support for depot-level maintenance actions.Skills, Experience and QualificationsRelevant Certificate IV/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in a Systems Administration 2nd / 3rd Level support role (UNIX, Linux and Microsoft).Experience in monitoring a complex IT environment.Experience in diagnosing networking fault.Preferably hold a number of relevant industry qualifications such as:DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certifications.Microsoft Certified System Associate (MSCA).Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA).Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).Security (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security).
