The BOM is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Basketball Operations and is accountable for driving and delivering quality Basketball competitions, growing basketball's pathways and continually improving BTAS's service standards. The BOM will represent BTAS on various working groups, provide high-level advice to the Board and CEO, and manage departments on appropriate strategies for the growth, development, and continuous improvement of BTAS run and operated competition initiatives.
Basketball Tasmania is the governing body for the sport and is tasked with fostering the ongoing growth and development of Basketball at all levels. A key role in this development is the Basketball Operations Manager, working across all regions and servicing a broad range of stakeholders, competitions, and competing demands, whilst building relationships and programs to ensure Basketball maximises the opportunities and interest in the game.
The Basketball Operations Manager will lead, develop, and coordinate basketball initiatives and activities in Tasmania with a view to ensuring current stakeholders and competitions receive the necessary support to continue their effective operation as well as implementing strategies to grow the sport and increase participation rates.
Salary and package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
