The first Hotel Indigo to be launched in Australia, Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets comprises 145 guest rooms, a lively restaurant- Market & Meander, and the iconic rooftop bar- Merrymaker, with panoramic views of Adelaide.
As a Bartender, you'll be a helpful host, a local expert, and a proud brand ambassador. Your creativity and artistic flair will be evident in the classic and innovative drinks you create.
Whether preparing drinks exactly as our guests want or recommending and delivering delicious culinary delights, your vibrant and accommodating personality will engage our guests and regulars to ensure they enjoy a memorable experience at our iconic Merrymaker Rooftop Bar.
A little taste of your day-to-day: Creating a warm welcome for every single guest that sets the tone for their experience with us.Preparing and serving a wide variety of hot, cold, artisan and specialty beverages including classic cocktails, and niche local spirits and wines.Taking guest orders, making menu recommendations and highlighting promotions.Working closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to deliver a truly seamless food and beverage service.Handling credit and payment transactions.Helping set exceptional cleanliness standards across all work areas and equipment.Minimising waste and keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop about any unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents.What we need from you: Experience - strong bar skills and previous experience working in a hotel, restaurant or bar is essential.Knowledge of local spirits and wines will set you apart.Articulate - a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.Your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories.The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneeling.The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (Nationally Accredited) & Food Safety Certificate.Must meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions.What you can expect from us: Let's #GoFurtherTogether and experience a place where you can be yourself, share your ideas, support your personal growth and wellbeing, and be a valued member of an inspirational team.
