Details of the offer

As a bar team member, you will be on the front line, serving drinks and making our customers day.We require all our staff to be over 18 (due to Licensing restrictions), have a UK bank account, speak fluent English and have the necessary visa requirements to work in the UK.Key responsibilities include:• Ensuring the venue is always presented at its best. This includes picking up rubbish, tidying venues.• Cash handling and use of contactless payment machines.• Serving drinks• Clearing tables• General cleaning of the venue during opening hours and after closing.• Setting up the bars• Clearing and swapping out bins• To comply with and ensure others comply with Health and Safety and other policies.• Attending team meetings, training sessions as appropriate.• Helping to unload and manage stock and back of house areas• To deal with customer complaints quickly, confidently, effectively and appropriately and escalating to management where necessary.• Attend Assembly Festival shows to get a good knowledge of what's on offer and be able to chat with audiences about great Assembly Shows to see.Person Specification• Customer service in a bar or restaurant.• Personal License is of benefit• Cash Handling experience• Electronic Point of Sales system experience• Experience in table service and ordering systems.• Knowledge of alcoholic drinks and their perfect serves.• Working with the public.• Staying focused in a busy, fast and high-pressure environment.• Positive, approachable and friendlyTeam Roles are paid at £12 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.Supervisor rates start from £14.50 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.Hours: up to 48h/weekDates: Mid to late July start to 30th August 2024Benefits:An Assembly staff pass that gives access to all Assembly shows and discounts at our bars/food trucksWeekly team bonding activitiesCompetitive compensationFlexible hoursTo apply, please provide your CV and a short paragraph about yourself, why you want to join our team, and your interests.Place of work: Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh: You must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Please note our venues are open long hours past midnight so please consider your transport options.The deadline is Wednesday 31 July 2024 at 18:00.#J-18808-Ljbffr
