DTown Group Pty Ltd, trading as Laneway Specialty Coffee and Besser Kitchen & Brew Bar in Darwin since 2013, we are now looking for multiple positions to join our busy café shops with the below details!  1/ Barista Produce coffees according to Laneway Specialty Coffee/ Besser Kitchen & Brew Bar methods and recipes and that support the overall sequence of service to customers.
Maintain the coffee station in a high state of cleanliness.
Work within the team to resolve any customer complaints as they arrive in relation to coffee.
Ensure all components of the coffee station/ area is set and ready to operate before opening times and packed down efficiently and effectively.
Communicate all service issues in a timely manner to the floor supervisor.
Where requested by the Directors or your immediate supervisor provide upskilling and training to selected staff across all areas of coffee preparation.
Implement and or follow the Campos Coffee training and guidelines, follow policies and procedures set by the company.
Attend pre and post service briefings where required.
Support the opening and closing of the venue according to checklists and standard operating procedures.
Follow stock control procedures and maintain par levels and ensure wastage reports are completed.
Other related tasks.
2/ Waiter Supervisor Assist in overseeing the scheduling of waiter staff shifts.
Assist managers in reconciling transactions at the end of shifts.
Supervise and provide training to F&B attendants and lower-level waitstaff.
Manage the receipt and distribution of all monetary transactions.
Handle banking tasks for cash and ensure that the till has sufficient change.
Organize and oversee stock take procedures.
Perform tasks such as taking reservations, welcoming guests, seating them, and presenting menus, beverage options.
Take customer orders and communicate to kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and beverages to customers.
Clear tables and return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen.
Remove empty bottles and used glasses from tables, replenishing and replacing glasses as needed.
Handle payments for sales and operate point of sale machines and cash registers.
3/ Cook Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
• Recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavor.
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
Portion food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Get customers' orders and prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
Assist in developing daily and seasonal menu items for the restaurant, create and prepare recipes and meals.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Participates in training restaurant staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods and unique tastes.
4/ Chef Menu Planning: Collaborate with the management team to plan and create menus that align with the restaurant's concept and meet customer expectations.
Food Preparation: Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
Ensure that food is prepared to high-quality standards and in a timely manner.
Recipe Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of recipes, considering factors such as taste, presentation, and cost.
Ingredient Selection: Source and select high-quality ingredients, ensuring freshness and adherence to food safety standards.
Kitchen Management: Organize and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs de partie, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
Delegate tasks and manage work schedules to maintain efficiency.
Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they understand and follow proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
General Experience & Skills Required: At least 2-3 years of relevant experience for each occupation in F&B industry Excellent customer service in diligent manner Leadership skills Communicate effectively with customers and staff  Work cooperatively  Problem-solving abilities Benefits: You'll be given full support and training by the team Annual salary from $55,000 - $70,000 plus super for successful candidate  Career promotions available.
