As a Bar Logistics team member you will be responsible for ensuring our bars are set up with everything they need to serve. You will coordinate stock movements between multiple venues, accept and put away deliveries in our cellars and store rooms and work directly with the bar team to make sure drinks are flowing and customers are having a great time. We expect hard graft and an ability to work in a team with new people, creating a great working environment conducive to an amazing experience. This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Roles are available in Edinburgh from Mid-July for the Jazz Festival and Food Festival and roll through until the end of August to cover the Fringe or from Early August for the Fringe dates only. Staff are required to be 18+ due to the licensed nature of our sites, and have a legal right to work in the UK, no Visas are able to be offered for these roles. Key responsibilities include: • Taking in deliveries across all sites (stock, kegs, gas, ice, cups etc.) • Ensuring the cellars and stock rooms are organised • Changing kegs and helping to move stock between venues • Changing gas, post-mix or assisting bar supervisors with technical issues in the cellars • Vital role in the set-up and break-down of all bars • Working directly with Head of Bars to ensure all bars are operating and have all the things they need • Ensuring the venue is always presented at its best. This includes picking up rubbish, tidying venues. • Cash handling and use of contactless payment machines. • Serving drinks • Clearing tables • General cleaning of the venue during opening hours and after closing. • Clearing and swapping out bins • To comply with and ensure others comply with Health and Safety and other policies. • Attending team meetings, training sessions as appropriate. • Deal with customer complaints quickly, confidently, effectively and appropriately and escalating to management where necessary. • Attend Assembly Festival shows to get a good knowledge of what's on offer and be able to chat with audiences about great Assembly Shows to see. Person Specification: • Customer service in a bar or restaurant. • Warehouse experience (not essential but of benefit) • Cellar experience including changing kegs and gas • Cash Handling experience • Team Player • Electronic Point of Sales system experience • Organisational skills • Working with the public. Hours: up to 48h/week Team Roles are paid at £12 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears. Supervisor rates start from £14.50 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.
