About the role:
As an integral part of the MarComms Unit, you will coordinate events to help build and protect BaptistCare's profile and brand in an inspiring, engaging, and consistent manner. You will have a hands-on opportunity to produce and manage events with a purpose, using your project management and planning skills, while collaborating with stakeholders within and external to our organisation. While engaging our employees and volunteers with internal events, you'll also support BaptistCare's external-facing and trade-marketing events that promote and celebrate our brand.
As an Events Officer, you'll be the maestro behind the scenes, orchestrating a symphony of events that range from senior management conferences to lively celebrations and impactful fundraising events. You'll juggle logistics, manage registrations, and ensure every detail aligns with our strategic goals. You'll liaise with VIPs, dignitaries, and a variety of stakeholders, making sure everything runs smoothly. Plus, you'll get to travel and bring your creative flair to both in-person and online events, all while keeping an eye on safety and compliance.
About you:
To be considered, you will have:
• Formal qualifications and/or a minimum of three years of experience in planning and coordinating events.
• Demonstrated experience in a corporate events role or similar.
• Experience in developing and producing content related to events.
• Experience in digital communications, including email platforms, websites, and social media.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in liaising with senior executives/stakeholders.
• Robust project management, administrative, and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong communication, teamworking and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Drivers Licence and flexibility to travel as required, including inter-state.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to professionalism.
• Experience working in not-for-profit organisation highly advantageous.
• A genuine alignment to BaptistCare's mission, purpose and values.
