About Griffith Centre Our new 130 bed Griffith Centre in Canberra is conveniently located near the CBD, Lake Burley Griffin, shopping precincts and local parks. This energy efficient and environmentally sustainable building has been designed to ensure we can meet the care needs of the local community now and into the future.

Your Role As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level clinical support and assessment for residents while also providing clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses in an aged care setting. You will use your clinical expertise, leadership, and clear communication skills to assist with the provision of high-quality clinical care. With a strong understanding of quality clinical care, you will model clinical excellence, inspire, and educate other care professionals to promote continual improvement of clinical care in an aged care setting. This role offers the opportunity to specialise in a clinical area such as palliative and dementia care while also providing a high level of general clinical expertise.
This role is Full time Monday-Friday.
Key Requirements Essential Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with post-registration qualification relevant to aged care. 12 months working in the clinical area of the qualification or in aged care. Demonstrated clinical leadership. Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles. Essential Competencies: Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards. Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promotion of the organisation's values through interactions at work. Desirable Qualifications, Competencies, and Experiences: Clinical leadership in an aged care setting. Three or more years' experience in Aged Care.
