Featuring an elegant and poetic take on the elements of modern design meets Swiss craftsmanship, Swissôtel Sydney is proud to showcase our newly renovated areas with bespoke finishing of our swimming pool, newly refreshed function spaces, and a brand new reception, luxurious Arches on Market bar.The hotel has an opportunity for a passionate Food & Beverage leader for the role of Full-time Conference & Events (C&E) Operations Manager / Banquet Manager.Job DescriptionReporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will have the autonomy to make decisions, run the department, and lead a great team of people.As our C&E Ops Manager / Banquet Manager, your main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Oversee the daily operation of the Banquet Operations department in conjunction with the Food & Beverage team, Kitchen team, and our C&E sales team.Ensure that each function is sufficiently staffed.Ensure that each function is set up according to the Banquet Event Order.Deliver catering to the standards outlined on the Banquet Event Order.Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the staff recruitment and interview process.Effectively complete onboarding and training of new staff.QualificationsExcellent organisation and time management skills.Creative approach to F&B presentation.The ability to work most effectively in a team environment.A fantastic attitude towards providing quality work and service.Exceptional at delivering quality customer service.Flexible availability to work a rotating roster.At least 3 years of previous experience in managing banquet operations in hotels or event venues.Additional InformationPossess a valid NSW RSA competency card.
