About the Role As a Banking Consultant, you are to assess the financial needs of customers and provide options to meet those needs in pursuit of specific sales, service and connected customer targets including addressing customers' transactional banking needs.
Role Location: Dubbo, NSW 2830
Role Type: Permanent, Flexible Part Time (29 hours/week, 5 days per week Mon-Fri)
What will your day look like? As a Banking Consultant, you will:
Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using the agreed sales process. Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance of the store. Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication with customers and recommend appropriate options using the agreed sales process. Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals and transfers) in an efficient and accurate manner. Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day to day banking (e.g.
ATM, Phone Banking, Internet). Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with Suncorp Bank's values. Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues related to your role responsibilities and captured as a service request in Ignite.
Adherence to Suncorp Bank's complaint resolution process to resolve the matter, maintain our high service standards and mitigate further risks/losses. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales & service environment. Analytical skills – ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships. Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role. Change Management – ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipate the impact on both the team and self. Commercial Acumen – ability to recognise and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and sales productivity. Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
