Cleveland Clinic London are looking Radiographers to join our Bank Team within the Imaging Department at Cleveland Clinic London with a competitive pay rate. The Bank Radiographer will work as part of a team and under the overall guidance of the Radiology Manager to ensure the highest standard of service to patients, consultants and visitors.

What will your duties include? To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department To carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within their scope of competence as agreed with the Imaging Services Manager / Modality Lead to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques. Provides direct patient care in specialty areas. To supply medicines using Patient Group Directions, without compromising patient safety. This involves ascertaining the patient's suitability for drugs and taking joint responsibility for the potential complications under the indirect supervision of radiologists. To be aware of the clinical hazards and emergencies that such drugs can induce Undertake basic patient observations, recognise a deteriorating patient, and manage immediately and appropriately. Use good radiographic techniques and modify as clinically appropriate. Have the technical ability to manipulate a range of equipment, whilst maintaining patient comfort and adequately communicate with patients and colleagues to ensure the safe movement of patients into imaging position. Use appropriate touch techniques to locate external bony landmarks. Other duties as assigned. Rotation across our out-patient facilities will be required. What we need from you? Bachelors Degree (BSc) in Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required. A minimum of 12 months clinical experience working as a Radiographer in an acute hospital is essential. Trained to cannulate and administer contrast agents required. Highly developed specialist Diagnostic Radiology knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience. Understanding of radiographic equipment in the context of how images are produced for both ionising and non-ionising radiation imaging methods and how images are appropriately shared and/or stored. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work autonomously. What can we offer you?
