We have a superb opportunity for a Bank Manager to join us at our Northland Shopping Centre branch in Preston! As a Bank Manager, you'll be the head and heart of a frontline banking team that loves to exceed the expectations of our local customers, whilst playing a hands-on role in a community you're proud to call your own.
Inspiring a team of customer service, sales and business specialists, you'll set the standard for the Westpac Group experience – and it'll be an exceptional experience at that!
You'll be the driving force behind your branch's success – holding financial, risk and operational accountability – ensuring customer advocacy is at the heart of all you and your team do.
You will recruit, coach and elevate your team to deliver a superior banking experience, ultimately contributing to the branch's success.
This is a large branch, and so existing Banking and Leadership experience is essential.
How will I help? Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with risk, policies and proceduresLead and develop branch staff through training, mentoring, and performance managementBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and the communityFoster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountabilityDrive sales initiatives to meet branch targets and enhance customer satisfactionWhat will I need to succeed? Strong leadership experience gained in a Retail Banking environmentHigh-energy, with an ability to inspire and motivate a diverse teamA track record of exceeding sales targets and spurring growthFinancial accountability with expertise in operational and risk managementCommitment to community engagement and local impactAbility to effectively deescalate and address challenging situations by using strong communication and problem-solving skillsAt Westpac, we're committed to your success from day one.
