Banana Labourer

We are seeking four dedicated individuals to join our team as Farm Hands at a well-established Banana Farm located in the vibrant area of Innisfail, Far North Queensland. These part-time positions offer a minimum of 30 hours per week and will commence in early August 2024. Duties Include: Field Work: Tasks involve harvesting banana bunches, de-leafing, de-suckering, stringing, bagging bunches, performing irrigation repairs, and general crop maintenance. Shed Work: Responsibilities include de-handing, sorting, packing, lidding, and pallet stacking, along with other related activities. Desired Skills and Attributes: Physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions, including temperatures above 35 degrees and during periods of constant rain. Flexible with work hours, able to work up to 38 hours per week, with potential weekend shifts. Able to work effectively within a team and independently without supervision. Commitment to a minimum stay of 9 months is preferred. Compensation: Pay is based on the Horticulture Award Rate Level 1.
