Banana Inspector Permanent Role $65-75K PA Woopen Creek QLD POSITION We have a full-time position for a Banana Inspector in Woopen Creek QLD 4871.SKILLS The position requires at least a certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.RESPONSIBILITIES The role of the Banana Inspector is to inspect the plantation and produce to ensure healthy fruit production in compliance with industry standards and government regulations regarding quarantine, quality, and food safety.POSITION DUTIES You will need to undertake the following tasks: Taking directions from Managers to meet production objectives.Ensuring Banana production complies with Food Safety, Industry and Quarantine standards.Ensuring packing facility remains in clean and operational.Training staff as to correct procedures in determining banana quality and grade.Testing samples of produce for quality and size after packaging and before transport for sale.Ensuring all bananas packed for hard green condition meet the hard-green condition requirements.Inspects equipment in packaging facility to ensure operational and no damage to produce.Ensuring that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles.Checking Final product to ensure meets the required standards.Ensuring packed produce are stacked, labelled, and packed for transport.Ensuring produced is stored at the correct cold room temperatures.Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.SALARY The position attracts a salary of $65,000 - $75,000 negotiated based on your experience.TO APPLY Applications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
