Full time ongoing position - Negotiable $134,627.06 per annum plus Super Located at Parent Place
About The Role
This position will oversee the operational delivery of the Sleep and Settling program to children and families living within the City of Ballarat. The Sleep & Settling program is part of Victoria's Maternal and Child Health Service and is offered to families experiencing sleep and settling concerns as an extension of the Universal Maternal and Child Health program.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience supporting families with sleep and settling concerns. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues, welfare, and early years professionals. You are required to have current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse and a registered midwife, and a recognised postgraduate Maternal and Child Health qualification to meet employment in Victoria. You need a current Victorian driver's licence, Working with Children check, and police check.
To match resourcing requirements and to meet the demands of an expanding MCH sleep and settling program, days of work will be determined with the successful applicant.
Key Selection Criteria Current qualification in Maternal and Child Health nursing to meet employment requirements in Victoria. Proven experience and ability in providing Maternal and Child Health services which are responsive to client needs and aspirations, including an extensive understanding of the sleep and settling program. Demonstrated experience and understanding of evidence-based practice in the Victorian Maternal and Child Health service including the Sleep and Settling Model of Care according to Council and State Government guidelines, policies, and accepted nursing practice standards. Highly developed interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to engage and work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including parents, colleagues, health professionals, and local community members. Proven experience and ability to provide effective staff leadership and management, including leading, motivating, and developing others. Demonstrated financial management and reporting skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team framework responding to changing family needs and service delivery requirements. Excellent range of written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of high-quality written documents including correspondence, reports, funding submissions, and presentations. High level IT skills, including demonstrated ability to support staff in functional use of Maternal and Child Health specific CDIS system and to work collaboratively to enhance the technology capacity of the team. Experience in group facilitation. Experience in providing outreach & centre-based sleep and settling consultations. Experience in providing Key Age and Stage Universal Maternal and Child Health service. To Apply
