The Opportunity
Join Resolution Life as a Balance Sheet Reconciliation Lead and play a pivotal role in our finance transformation journey! Over the past three years, we've implemented numerous initiatives to support our strategic goals, and now, with evolving regulations and reporting deadlines, your expertise is crucial. You'll ensure our financial position is accurately reflected in our statements and manage emerging risks of write-offs. Collaborating with various business units, senior finance leaders, and subject matter experts, you'll align finance deliverables with our objectives and timelines.
In this role, you'll identify and mitigate risks during financial close, drive efficiencies through automation, and partner with our outsourced providers to achieve operational excellence. We're looking for a qualified accountant with at least three years of experience in financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation. If you have a knack for managing people and outsourced providers, and experience with ERP and finance platform implementations, we want to hear from you!
This role offers a 12-month full-time fixed-term contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.

Qualified Accountant (Open to AU or NZ and other)
At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting cycle and financial accounting
At least 3 years of experience in accountable for outcome of balance sheet reconciliation; Australian Life Insurance, banking, and financial services industry experience essential
People management and mentoring skills to ensure deliverables are completed as a team
Experience in onshore people management essential
Experience in managing outsourced providers essential
Ability to work to tight deadlines in an agile environment
Strong relationship management skills
