Job DescriptionAbout the role: Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is a hands-on role in daily operations in a fast-paced production environment with accountability for output, quality of finished product, and the continued efficiency of production staff. The afternoon shift Bakery Team Leader is responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the Bakery team, ensuring that expected outcomes and production deadlines are met at all times by providing clear direction and support. Hours are 13:00 PM to 21:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and motivate the production team by providing effective support, mentoring, and positive leadership.Ensure company safety commitments are effectively communicated and implemented.Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational requirements and improvements through effective collaboration.Monitor and ensure Key Performance indicators are met.Implement processes, procedures, and initiatives to enable a culture of continuous improvements across the business operations.Follow up all safety incidents & near misses with investigations followed by corrective actions.HR policies are effectively explained and adhered to.Roster and schedule staff according to business requirements.Lead by example to deliver a culture of respect, care, and professionalism.About You: Able to demonstrate effective collaborations and leadership qualities.Production or manufacturing FMCG industry experience would be highly favourable.Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products - Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to influence and drive continuous improvement solutions.High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work demands and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.Display behaviours that are consistent with company values of authenticity, connection, diversity, and agility.High focus and commitment to WHS.Must be an excellent communicator (oral and written).Demonstrated high level organisational skills including time management and prioritising tasks.Flexible mindset around working hours.Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask are essential.Ready for your next challenge?
