Our client Wildflour is recruiting talented and hard-working Bakers/Pastry Cooks & Pastry Chef who are looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to advance your career and showcase your skills. Benefits
The candidates will have experience relevant to our operation; this role involves daily production and hands-on execution of our range of products including sourdough mixing, hand shaping, baking bread, and pastries.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, and bread following traditional and modern recipes.
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel.
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualification & Experience
Extensive knowledge of baking and pastry-making techniques.
Artistic skill in decorating desserts.
In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles and food preparation standards.
Strong leadership skills and an ability to provide clear instructions to other members of the pastry staff.
Familiarity with a range of baking and other kitchen equipment.
Excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for teamwork.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Certificate III or higher qualifications.

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
