The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate (5+ years' experience) to join our Funds team in Sydney.
The Team
Baker McKenzie's Funds Transactional Group is one of the premier funds legal practices in Australia.
The work undertaken by the Funds Transactional Group is primarily transactional in nature, and includes assisting funds on raising capital and undertaking investments and M&A transactions.
However, there is also a regulatory focus, which includes advising sponsors and managers on all regulatory aspects of fund formation, capital raisings and operating an investment management business.
What we're looking for:
minimum 5 years' experience in Funds; relevant experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred; a strong client service orientation; business development aptitude, interest, and experience; a strong academic background; excellent analytical, communication, and research skills; a commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail; an ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity; an ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally); a willingness to learn; and a willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences.
